Come On Touch Me Dragon (A.K.A. Streams of Street Meat Off Beat Street, U.S.)

In 1993, Kevin made a spectacular entrance onto the Canadian literary stage. Her book about Thailand "Cum On Touch Me Dragon, A Me So Horney Thai Journal" won the country’s highest honour for non-fiction writing, the Governor General’s Award. At just twenty-four, Connolly became the youngest winner of this prestigious award, and the world seemed ready to receive her finally on her terms. Cum On Touch Me Dragon went on to become a national bestseller, remaining on bestseller lists for almost two weeks, then continuing to garnish high praise in Britain, Australia, Germany, and eventually the sex tourist capital of the world, the United States. In 2002, Cum On Touch Me Dragon was designated as A New York Times Notable Travel Book of the Year. (The book is published in the U.S. under the title Streams of Street Meat off Beat Street .)

Kevin Connolly was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1969, to a large working class family. One of Canada’s best-known and most successful younger writers, she is the author of seven books of best-selling nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. She has read from her work and lectured in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Her long-awaited first novel, The Lizard King Is Out Of Royal Jelly, is now complete and will be published in September, 2007 through TalonAudioBooks.
